Train Up A Child - Proverbs 22:6

Motherhood is not easy. Training children to be the best that they can be does not come with a manual; training special need children do not come with patience either. But understanding our divine nature as mothers should encourage us or me to train a child uprightly before the Lord; Its not about the material things in life that we should be teaching our children how to be a "better person" We can all be better people if we know what our purpose in life is; Training our children to be better people will require us to know what our purpose in life is.

So what is it? We are here to be tested and to learn, grow, and experience life so that we can return to our Father who is Heaven. Part of our purpose as women in this dispensation is to multiply and replenish the earth, be fruitful and bear witness that there is a God and that we are created in his own image. Our purpose is to also raise a family and teach them the ways of the Lord by service, providing compassion to the sick and the needy, to be of service to our family and friends, our community. And also be doing what is right and doing our best to live righteously.

Will it be easy? No it will not. But the Lord has provided resources for us to make sure we are doing the right thing. It is a work in progress; The scripture found in Provers 22:6 remind us "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is hold he shall not department from it" The lessons of faith, hope and charity are all things we should train our children to live by. We, ourselves need to live by these characteristics so that our children can see our good examples in being the best that we can be so that they too will be able to follow.

It's a new day and a new week. Let's do our best to be our best.
